Your Dream Kitchen awaits

What is the difference between a bespoke and an off-the-shelf kitchen?

An off-the-shelf kitchen is generally designed around a fixed range of cabinet sizes and finishes, while a bespoke kitchen gives the designer more freedom to adapt the cabinetry and details to the room. The right choice depends on your property, priorities and budget.

Where bespoke can help

Bespoke or highly tailored kitchen design is especially useful when a room has awkward corners, unusual ceiling heights, structural features or when you want a very specific look. It can also make better use of small gaps that standard-size cabinets would leave unused.

Off-the-shelf ranges can still produce excellent kitchens, particularly in straightforward rooms. The key is whether the available sizes and finishes suit the space without forcing compromises.

Questions to ask

  • Can cabinet widths or heights be adjusted?
  • How much choice is available in colours and finishes?
  • Can storage be tailored to how you use the kitchen?
  • Will filler panels or unused gaps be required?
  • Can special features be incorporated into the design?
