Your Dream Kitchen awaits

Who coordinates appliances, worktops and other trades?

Kitchen installation works best when one clear plan shows who is responsible for cabinetry, appliances, worktops, electrics, plumbing and finishing trades. The exact arrangement depends on whether your project is fully managed, supply-only or part of a wider building job.

Items that need coordinating

  • Appliance models and dimensions.
  • Electrical socket and isolation positions.
  • Water, waste and gas services where applicable.
  • Worktop templating and fitting.
  • Extraction routes.
  • Flooring and wall finishes.
  • Decoration and final snagging.

For example, a stone worktop may be templated only after base cabinets are securely installed and level. Likewise, appliance choices can affect cabinet sizes, ventilation and service positions long before fitting starts.

Agree responsibilities early

Before work begins, make sure every part of the project has an owner and a sequence. This is particularly important if you are appointing different trades yourself.
